Dry Creek House includes two bedrooms, three baths and an additional, detached cabana space to serve the private pool. Exterior using of warm materials such as ipe, white oak, and lueders limestone contribute to giving the house a sense of warmth to balance the use of colder materials such as concrete, glass, and steel. The open plan is arranged to maintain a sense of privacy for the necessary portions of the house when entertaining guests in the main living spaces. Situated in Jakarta, Indonesia with 7,530 square foot Static House built and designed by Jakarta-based studio TWS & Partners. This modern garden house design – “garden house” a crib that would communicate well with the exterior. The design is to develop and combine two courtyard spaces, which vertically and super-imposing one another. First courtyard was put into the upper ground floor, which can also act as a transition and buffer zone of public space in the front and rear, semi public, living room. Second courtyard is on the second floor, which will act as outdoor space between the master bedroom and the surrounding neighborhood. Second courtyard is on the second floor, which will act as outdoor space between the master bedroom and the surrounding neighborhood. Consequently, the upper patio should be able to be penetrated by sunlight and natural air to breathe life into the courtyard below. We decided to apply shallow pond courtyard reflecting above and the use of glass as the base of it, to allow daylight to penetrate into the courtyard and the room below. The interior design using a modern, simple and minimalistic style of furniture, create a warm palette, combining with some ethnical and classic piece of decorative furniture and artwork with modern details.
